Light snow is expected to make its way into Northern Illinois this afternoon.
Snowfall is expected to begin between 1-3 pm and should wind down around 9-10 pm tonight.
Accumulations are forecast to be lightest around the Illinois/Wisconsin border, where a dusting to 1/2″ is possible. Highest totals are expected to be along and south of the I-80 corridor, where 1-2″ accumulation is possible.
A more significant snowfall is expected late Sunday night into Monday. At this time, 4-8″ is forecast during that period, which will be followed by bitterly cold temperatures Tuesday through Thursday
